E.L APARTMENT 

E.L APARTMENT is a 135m² apartment in Thessaloniki. The fact that it is located on the top floor of the apartment building automatically makes it very bright and with specific features. Due to its age, the new owners wanted to make the house work with the modern principles of bioclimatic architecture. The apartment is bright and in combination with its orientation helps to create a main natural ventilation and cooling. The roof was specially insulated to prevent a good atmosphere in both cold and hot conditions and at the same time special thermal insulation frames were selected to balance the above situation. Moreover, wooden investments have been redesigned, which also strengthen and contribute in this direction. At the same time, a key element of the architectural study is the diffuse natural light that floods the apartment, which in combination with the selected artificial lighting, enhances the sense of calm as in a natural environment. References to nature and tranquility exudes were decisive factors in the design of the apartment. Based on that, two dominant elements prevail in the space, such as oak wood in natural color and white on the other surfaces, walls, upholstery, furniture.
